Itinerary

After a hotel pickup in Cusco, we head to the Sacred Valley, where you can enjoy a local-style breakfast. Then, travel to Abra Málaga (4,350 m / 14,357 ft), the starting point of your biking adventure. Equipped with safety gear, you'll cycle down exhilarating 9 km (5.59 miles) paths, descending into diverse ecosystems, including highlands, cloud forests, and rainforests. Lunch is served upon arrival in Santa María, where you can opt for a guided rafting experience on the Vilcanota River (Class III rapids). Overnight in a countryside lodge.

Start with breakfast before setting out on the first full day of trekking. The day begins with a two-hour uphill climb, offering stops to observe local flora, fauna, and traditions at family homes. Traverse the historic Inca Trail leading to Vilcabamba, enjoying awe-inspiring views of the Huancarccasa Canyon and Salkantay Mountain. After lunch in Quellomayo, relax in hammocks or immerse yourself in the thermal baths at Cocalmayo. End the day with dinner in Santa Teresa.

Fuel up with breakfast before starting the day's adventure. Optional zip-lining is available, followed by traveling to the Hydroelectric area. From there, hike approximately three hours to Aguas Calientes, the town closest to Machu Picchu. Savor a well-deserved dinner, rest at your hotel, and gear up for the next day’s highly anticipated visit to Machu Picchu.

After breakfast, it's finally time to explore Machu Picchu! Your guide will take you through its rich history, myths, and architecture, bringing the ancient citadel to life. Optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain are available for panoramic views. After lunch in Aguas Calientes, return to Ollantaytambo by train and transfer back to your Cusco hotel.
